Reason to pay attention in English class #27

Reason to pay attention in English class #27: So when you read Hawkeye #6 you’ll know what the (Root Word of the Gerund) they’re talking about. If you pay close attention in English class, you’ll also note that the obscene gerund in question may not be a gerund at all, but more a “verbal adjective” (as argued here), since its usage here is clearly not the noun form of the word (as pointed out here). Then again, it could just be an artistic signifier of a simple expletive.

Of course, now that I think about it, I may not know the (root word of the originally argued gerund) I’m talking about. Feel free to set me straight, but try not to use the actual word. It’s more fun to dance around it.

On a side note, Hawkeye is clearly the best ongoing series Marvel’s got (not including David Mack’s Daredevil: End of Days, which is an 8-issue short series).
