The new Ragu commercial where the kid walks in on his parents is classic. Having never suffered through the experience myself, I laughed. However, I can imagine this commercial being some sort of PTSD trigger for someone who had … anyone want to share their memories?
One oversight in the script, though: the incident takes place at 8 p.m.
Most parents I know would agree that there is no way in h-e-double-hockey-sticks that parents are randy at that hour. Maybe 9:30 — MAYBE … but with a kid that age, it’s most likely weekends anyway.
So what’s Ragu really telling us? That nothing says adult lovin’ like spaghetti and meat sauce. In fact, I think that’s going to be my slang term for parental sex from now on …
“Honey? What night are we having spaghetti and meat sauce?”
