Off-topic movie review: Rocket Science

Here’s the deal with Rocket Science (2007): It tries to be quirky like Rushmore, except the movie is darker and not as slick. It has the indie spirit of Thumbsucker, but the main character doesn’t escape his dysfunctional home life. And it’s like that scene in Say Anything, except replace the radio with a stolen cello and then throw it through a window.

Oh, and he doesn’t get the girl.

So, you know … it’s a good time.
