Saw the action-adventure candy that is Jumper (2008) the other day, or as I like to call it: “That-one-where-Billy-Elliott-helps-Anakin-Skywalker-battle-Jules-Whitfield.” (By the way, I know that Jules played Mace opposite Anakin … I just wanted to throw in an extraneous reference …)
It was pretty good despite the fact that every time I see Hayden Christensen a small amount of bile boils up at George Lucas for casting him in those last three Star Wars films. I’m not blaming Christensen for ruining the final three Star Wars pictures … but that’s just because he was only in two of them.
And, let’s be honest, if that’s the kind of taste Natalie Portman has in men … well … maybe we’re all just better off without her.
One of the best parts of the movie was the fact that I got it at the public library, so no money was injured in the viewing of this film. The library is becoming my favorite place to get movies, especially in light of Blockbuster closing and the dark, evil shadow that is Red Box is rising.
But … that may be a little off-topic.
