Free mp3: Miles Fisher

This came across the old e-mail bag today: a free ep from Amie St. Music by Miles Fisher.

I don’t know too much about Mr. Fisher, though his press says that you’ll like it if you like Postal Service, which, I guess, is OK.

What intrigued me was the remake of the Talking Heads’ “Naive Melody (This Must Be the Place).” It’s pretty good. And, as the title of this post says, it’s free.

The video, which you can see here, is a little unique as well, since it basically re-enacts the movie American Psycho. If you’ve seen the movie, you know why I didn’t post it here.

However, I did include the classic original, from the documentary Stop Making Sense:

  1. Hello,

I came across your blog when I was searching for Miles Fisher’s This Must Be The Place (which flippin’ rocks!) but I realize that I am too late to download it from amiestreet since they are now part of Amazon. I have searched all over to see if I could buy the mp3, seriously, but I can’t find it anywhere. Is there any chance you know of a link, or could send me, the mp3 if you have it? Any help is much appreciated. I don’t mind buying it either if that is possible.

    • Thanks for posting! I did a quick search around and I couldn’t find a “legal” one, but if you type “Miles Fisher this must be the place free mp3” into Google, you’re sure to get a hit … probably from somewhere like beemp3 or something.

Of course, I’m not telling you to do that, I’m just saying that I couldn’t find a link to the ep (like the one in the post)

Hey, come back to read, though! Cheers!
